Một trong những nghịch lý lớn nhất của y tế hiện đại là khoảng cách giữa tiến bộ khoa học và thực tiễn ứng dụng: Tại sao nhiều can thiệp y tế đã chứng minh hiệu quả lâm sàng lại thất bại khi triển khai trong cộng đồng?
Để giải mã câu hỏi mang tính chiến lược này, Khoa Dược trân trọng kính mời quý Thầy/Cô, các nhà nghiên cứu, học viên sau đại học và sinh viên tham dự buổi Hội thảo Khoa học Quốc tế Trực tuyến với chủ đề: "Implementation Research in Global Health" (Nghiên cứu triển khai trong y tế toàn cầu).
1. Nghiên cứu triển khai (Implementation Research) là gì và tại sao lại quan trọng?
Nghiên cứu triển khai (Implementation Research - IR) là một nhánh khoa học sức khỏe chuyên sâu, nghiên cứu các phương thức đưa chính sách, chương trình và phát kiến y dược học vào vận hành thực tế một cách hệ thống. Khác với nghiên cứu lâm sàng vốn được kiểm soát nghiêm ngặt, IR tập trung phân tích sự tương tác phức tạp giữa can thiệp y tế với ba yếu tố:
- Hệ thống y tế thực tế: Nơi tồn tại các giới hạn nghiêm ngặt về nguồn lực tài chính, nhân lực và trang thiết bị.
- Dịch vụ y tế thực tế: Quy trình vận hành lâm sàng, chuỗi cung ứng dược phẩm và quản trị y tế hằng ngày.
- Cộng đồng thực tế: Nơi hành vi và mức độ tuân thủ của người bệnh bị chi phối mạnh mẽ bởi các yếu tố văn hóa, kinh tế và xã hội.
Đặc biệt, hội thảo sẽ đi sâu vào mô hình IR tại các bối cảnh mong manh và bị ảnh hưởng bởi khủng hoảng (fragile and crisis-affected settings) – những khu vực mà rào cản phân phối dược phẩm và tiếp cận y tế trở nên thách thức nhất.
2. Ý nghĩa đối với ngành Dược
Đối với cộng đồng nghiên cứu Dược học, tư duy IR đóng vai trò quyết định trong việc tối ưu hóa giá trị của sản phẩm y tế từ phòng thí nghiệm đến giường bệnh:
- Tối ưu hóa công tác Dược lâm sàng và Dược xã hội học tại cộng đồng.
- Đánh giá tính khả thi, sự chấp nhận của người bệnh và hiệu quả chi phí của các can thiệp dược trong môi trường thực tế.
- Nâng cao kỹ năng thiết kế các nghiên cứu đa ngành, kết hợp giữa khoa học hành vi, kinh tế y tế và quản lý dược.

- Hơn 20 năm kinh nghiệm nghiên cứu chuyên sâu về công bằng y tế, giám sát dịch bệnh và hệ thống y tế tại các quốc gia đang phát triển.
- Nguyên Trưởng khoa Hệ thống Y tế tại icddr,b (Bangladesh) và cựu Giáo sư Sức khỏe Dân số tại Đại học Monash (Malaysia).

One of the greatest paradoxes in modern healthcare is the gap between scientific advancement and its practical application: Why do many medical interventions with proven clinical efficacy fail when deployed in real-world communities?
To address this strategic question, the Faculty of Pharmacy cordially invites faculty members, researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students to attend the International Scientific Webinar entitled: "Implementation Research in Global Health".
1. What is implementation research (IR) and why is it important?
Implementation Research (IR) is a specialized branch of health sciences that investigates methods for systematically integrating health policies, programs, and medical/pharmaceutical innovations into real-world practice. Unlike strictly controlled clinical trials, IR focuses on analyzing the complex interactions between health interventions and three core factors:
- Real-world health systems: Characterized by stringent constraints on financial, human, and material resources.
- Real-world health services: Encompassing daily clinical workflows, pharmaceutical supply chains, and healthcare governance.
- Real-world communities: Where patient behaviors and adherence rates are heavily influenced by cultural, socioeconomic, and environmental factors.
Notably, the seminar will delve into IR frameworks within fragile and crisis-affected settings—regions where barriers to pharmaceutical distribution and healthcare access are most pronounced.

For the pharmaceutical research community, an IR mindset is critical to optimizing the value of medical products from bench to bedside:
- Optimizing clinical and social pharmacy practices within the community.
- Evaluating the feasibility, patient acceptability, and cost-effectiveness of pharmaceutical interventions in real-world settings.
- Enhancing skills in designing multidisciplinary studies that integrate behavioral sciences, health economics, and pharmaceutical management.

- Former Director of the Institute for Global Health and Development, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh (United Kingdom).
