Alongside the training session on
Laboratory Regulations and Safety, Faculty of Pharmacy - Pham Ngoc Thach
University of Medicine recently organized the program “THE LABORATORY
EQUIPMENT OPERATION TRAINING - SESSION 1, ACADEMIC YEAR 2025 - 2026” for undergraduate
and graduate students who are studying and conducting scientific research at
the Faculty of Pharmacy. The training was held to enhance equipment operation
skills and ensure students’ safety and efficiency during the learning and
research process in the laboratories.
According to regulations, learners
are only permitted to use laboratory equipment after completing both parts of
the training: (1) Laboratory Regulations and Safety, and (2) Equipment
Operation Training – for equipment for use in research. This training is not
only aimed at providing fundamental knowledge about the equipment but also to cultivate
habits for operating it safely and effectively.
The equipment operation training is
regularly organized every quarter, with the first session conducted over 6
days, from June 25 to June 30, 2025, in two forms: studying through instructional
materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the other form was
participating in hands-on learning at the laboratories. During the training,
students gained access to instructional materials and SOPs for aproximately 20
equipment and after the training session students completed an assessment to
evaluate their understanding of the lectures and their grasp of the basic
equipment operation procedures.
The training sessions were conducted
at the laboratories, with direct supervise and support from lecturers Pham
Hoang Anh, Nguyen Manh Huy, Nguyen Ha Phuc Tam, and Tran Thi Phuong Anh. These lectures
not only provided specialized knowledge but also addressed practical scenarios
related to equipment operation.
