On July 19-20, 2025, the Trade Union Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine successfully conducted a summer retreat in Minh Dam Mountain and the seaside city of Vung Tau, fostering team cohesion and rejuvenation. The program is an annual initiative designed to provide a tranquil recreational area, enhance spiritual well-being, and fortify the relationship between faculty officials and workers.
Expedition into nature and history
Minh Dam Mountain is a site marked by significant revolutionary history and a lush, untamed natural environment. This site, exceeding 300 meters in height, served as a vital stronghold during the resistance against France and the United States, linked to the revolutionary figures Bui Cong Minh and Le Van Dam. The tour party saw caves, shelters, memorial buildings, and learned about the enduring combat tradition of the army and inhabitants of Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Alongside its historical significance, the serene hiking path up the mountain, the invigorating air, and the sweeping vista of Long Hai beach provided all participants with an unforgettable and restorative experience.
The party thereafter proceeded to Vung Tau on an exhilarating expedition - a location regarded as the “green lung” next to Saigon. The trip was not only a holiday; it served as a chance for relaxation, stress alleviation, and the enhancement of interpersonal relationships via enjoyable activities and light team-building exercises on the beach, like tug of war, water balloon passing, and relay races, all within a vibrant and spirited environment.

Collaborative endeavors - Enhancing the ethos of solidarity
As part of the program, the Union coordinated team-building activities, light athletic events, and nightly cultural exchanges at the resort. The vibrant environment fostered camaraderie among the group members, demonstrating unity and good spirit after long workdays.

The interchange session focused on discussing emotions related to the profession, teaching, and scientific research within the framework of educational innovation garnered significant attention. This presents a chance for departmental instructors to engage, comprehend, and assist one another more effectively in their professional endeavors.

Profound significance and anticipations for the future
The vacation served not only as a period of relaxation but also imparted several spiritual principles, hence enhancing camaraderie within the Faculty of Pharmacy. Consequently, each member was invigorated with positive energy, prepared to begin the new academic year with enthusiasm and unity.
