In implementation of Decision No. 2015/QD-TDHYKPNT dated June 6, 2025, issued by Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine regarding the promulgation of the Code of Conduct on Social Media, below is the full content of the Code of Conduct provided to all faculty, staff, trainees, and students currently teaching, working, and studying at the Faculty:
1. Purpose of the code
- To build a healthy, effective, and professional culture of information exchange, contributing to the positive image of the university online.
- To guide users to use social networks responsibly, complying with laws, university regulations, and general rules of conduct.
- To minimize the misuse of social networks to spread false or negative information that affects the university's reputation or the honor of others.
2. Key principles of conduct
- All members must clearly understand that freedom of speech goes hand in hand with personal responsibility.
- Exchanged information must be accurate, honest, objective, and undistorted.
- Members must strictly respect intellectual property rights and not copy or share others' content without permission.
- Specifically for the medical sector, officials and lecturers discussing medical-related content on social media must strictly adhere to professional medical ethics, maintain patient confidentiality, and absolutely not share sensitive images or information of patients without their consent.
3. Regulations on official social media groups
- Units are permitted to establish official groups/pages for professional activities and internal communication.
- Each group/page must have an administrator responsible for managing content, moderating members, and handling violations.
- Members who violate the rules (spreading fake news, using inappropriate language) or fail to comply with regulations will be removed from the group/page.
4. Strictly prohibited acts
- Defaming, smearing, or insulting the honor, dignity, and reputation of other individuals or organizations.
- Spreading false information that causes confusion or affects the normal operations of the University.
- Disclosing confidential, internal, or personal information of others.
- Using the University's name, logo, or information for personal purposes or advertising without permission from the Board of Rectors.
- Calling for or participating in protests, riots, or illegal activities via social media platforms.
5. Handling of violations
- Depending on the severity of the violation, individuals will face disciplinary actions ranging from warnings and reprimands to impacts on emulation evaluations, or having their case transferred to competent authorities if there are signs of legal violation.
- For learners (students), disciplinary actions include: Reprimand, Warning, Fixed-term suspension, or Forced dropout for exceptionally serious violations. Disciplinary actions from the warning level upwards will be recorded in the student's file and notified to their family.
- The Faculty of Pharmacy calls upon all officials, lecturers, and students to be civilized and responsible social network users, contributing to spreading positive values and protecting the shared reputation of the Faculty of Pharmacy as well as Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.
