On October 28, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy – Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine organized an orientation session for newly admitted postgraduate students, including the Specialist Level I program in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, the Specialist Level I program in Pharmaceutical Administration and Management, and the Master’s program in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The event was attended by Dr. Vo Quang Trung – Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Msc.Pharm. Tran Thi Bich Hien – Head of Administrative Office, Faculty of Pharmacy, together with the faculty members and more than 60 postgraduate pharmacy students.
The session provided an opportunity for students to gain an overview of their academic programs, learn about university regulations and policies, and directly exchange with lecturers for better orientation in their upcoming studies and research.
Opening Remarks and Orientation
Dr. Vo Quang Trung briefly introduced the development history of the Faculty of Pharmacy and emphasized the mission and vision of both the University and the Faculty. He highlighted the importance of postgraduate education in advancing professional qualifications and research capacity among pharmacists. Dr. Trung also encouraged students to maintain a spirit of self-directed learning, proactiveness, and creativity, continuously striving for academic excellence to meet the evolving demands of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Academic Regulations and Study Guidelines
MSc. Pharm. Tran Thi Bich Hien – Head of Administrative Office, Faculty of Pharmacy, presented key information regarding academic regulations, program learning outcomes, study plans, and research orientation, as well as important rules and policies applicable throughout the postgraduate study period.
Study Plan and Student Support
Mr. Nguyen Van Pol – Head of Division of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education, Faculty of Pharmacy, provided detailed information on the study schedule, timetables, examinations, and introduced contact points within departments and administrative units to assist students during their studies.
The orientation session took place in a serious yet open and engaging atmosphere. Through this event, new postgraduate students were equipped with essential information, fostered a stronger sense of responsibility, initiative, and compliance, and are now ready to embark on their academic journey.
