The
Faculty of Pharmacy would like to inform all lecturers, postgraduate students,
and undergraduate students about the scholarship opportunity from the Vietnamese-German
Center for Medical Research (VG-CARE).
The
program is offered within the framework of the PAN ASEAN Coalition for Epidemic
and Outbreak Preparedness (PACE-UP) project, funded by the German Academic
Exchange Service (DAAD).
The
PAN ASEAN Coalition for Epidemic and Outbreak Preparedness (PACE-UP) is a
global health hub based at the Vietnamese-German Center for Medical Research in
Hanoi (VG-CARE), 108 Military Central Hospital. It is a dynamic, multi-country,
initiative forging multi-disciplinary collaborations to address one of today's
most pressing global health challenges: emerging and re-emerging infectious
diseases. Active across Southeast Asia and supported by partners in Africa and
Europe, PACE-UP aims to strengthen epidemic preparedness, outbreak response,
and health systems resilience.
Program
Information

Fully-funded PhD positions in the fields of infectious disease, epidemiology,
global health, and antimicrobial resistance at renowned research institutions
in Germany.

Program Duration: A 4-year PhD position (July 2026 – June 2030).

Financial Support: Monthly scholarship of €1400, plus medical insurance, with return
flight tickets.
Study
and Research Conditions

PhD candidates will have access to state-of-the-art laboratory and research
infrastructure.

PhD candidates will have opportunities for international exchange, fieldwork,
and conference participation.

PhD candidates will receive supervision within a vibrant international research
consortium of PACE-UP and VG-CARE experts.
